Digital Shamans Records embarks on the journey of 2025, with VA Talakwa, a collection of 11 tracks compiled by Djane Dharma from Costa Rica. In the heart of the dense rainforests of Costa Rica, amidst the ancient traditions of the Bribri people, a spiritual journey unfolds.
Led by the matriarchs of the community, women who are revered as the spiritual guides, the Bribri uphold a sacred tradition centered around cocoa, a symbol of purity and life.
Talakwa means "spiritual leader" or "guide" in bribri language. For the Bribri, Talakwa governs the balance of nature and life. Talawaka VA invites you to embark on a voyage beyond borders and genres, where music becomes the conduit for cultural exchange and spiritual revelation.
